Horror Film Project "Home"
Camera and sound work
Two cameras, one following the main character, and on showing close ups off their face.
Like from the movie dead silence, a main character will be in the room making pop corn, boiling water and listening to music, there is a lot of noise, and in the space from 0 to 3 seconds all the sound goes down, and it is completely silent, and all you can hear is the heart beat, and the door creaking when opened and closed.
Background of the main character
Could have a background of mental illness (sleep paralysis) She always see's things when she goes into sleep paralysis, except the things that she see's are actually true.
Somewhere isolated, a big wooden house, in a country area, or on a farm.
Mental illness schizophrenic or autistic (could be a savant which will make the story more realistic)
If shot right, this will give a deep understanding of what we are trying to communicate with the audience. The skill of acting does not matter but they right camera cuts are to most essential part of this film. If we do not cut scenes or change angles of the camera frequently the audience will get bored and it will feel like they are just watching something happen however if we cut and change angles frequently the audience will fell like they are in the movie and they will understand the story from different points of view more and therefore express the emotions that we were trying to achieve, ie. Frightened (which will be easy) and hopefully even scared (which will be really hard to do)

This is my story for my character John McGreggor
Jonathan Mcgreggor
A 25 year old Caucasian male, with a devastating background.
When John was born, Harlem, New York, 1985 doctors had discovered that he was diagnosed with autism. When his father Michael Mcgreggor found out about his condition, he walked out and was never to be seen again. Johns mother, Jennifer Mcgreggor was left with an autistic kid and no form of income. For the first 4 years of Johns life, his Mother had worked two jobs on a very low salary to support him. John had never made any friends or got on with any of the other kids. On Johns 5th birthday, there was an expected visit from his father, but he never showed. Johns mother could not take it anymore and abandoned her son on the sidewalk. Johns mother was also never to be seen again. John had to grow up on the streets and fight other homeless people for food and nourishment. He had become very street wise even with his mental illness although he never made a single friend and soon had a bad reputation for his anti social behavior.
Because of Johns knowledge of the streets, he only spent a few days in jail over minor convictions, where he had gotten away with a lot of stuff.
